The Civil and Environmental 糖心Vlog传媒 Academy of Distinguished Alumni (CEADA) inducted five Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 alumni into its ranks at a banquet on Sept. 13.
CEADA, established in 1998, honors outstanding graduates and friends of the Department of Civil and Environmental 糖心Vlog传媒. Election to the Academy recognizes outstanding professional achievement, excellence and leadership in engineering and civil affairs.
“These inductees showcase leadership in their fields and in community and civic affairs,鈥 Praveen Edara, chair of civil and environmental engineering, said. “CEADA members are vital to our department, as they provide industry guidance in our academic programs, invest in scholarships and inspire our students.鈥
The 2024 inductees are:
- Jessica Adams-Weber, B.S. 鈥08
- Andrew Boeckmann, B.S. 鈥05, M.S. 鈥06, Ph.D. 鈥19
- Brian Chandler, B.S. 鈥98
- Brian Haeffner, B.S. 鈥90, M.S. 鈥92

About the inductees:

Jessica Adams-Weber
Jessica Adams-Weber, a registered engineer in Missouri, Kansas and California, is the vice president and business development director for HDR鈥檚 North Central Water Business Group. She has spent the majority of her career focused on municipal infrastructure for all water market sectors and has extensive experience in supporting public utilities using construction methods.

Andrew Boeckmann
A senior engineer with Dan Brown and Associates (DBA), Andrew Boeckmann works primarily on geotechnical design for large bridge projects. He also performs a variety of special services related to drilled shaft mass concrete, integrity testing and geotechnical research. Prior to DBA, he spent eight years as a research engineer at Mizzou.

Brian Chandler
Brian Chandler is the principal and national director for transportation safety at DKS Associates, where he is the senior project manager, business development lead and subject matter expert for transportation safety planning, engineering and data analysis projects. He previously worked at Leidos and began his career at the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Brian Haeffner
After 27 years at the Missouri Department of Transportation, Brian Haeffner retired from MoDOT in 2019. He now serves as Audrain County鈥檚 county engineer where he is responsible for implementing the county鈥檚 small structures program and all other maintenance, design and construction for the road and bridge system.

Matthew Spencer
Matthew Spencer joined Hg Consult, Inc., in 2018 and oversees its corporate-wide transportation design group. He and his staff of over 34 engineers deliver municipal and highway transportation design, land development and transportation planning projects to seven states.
