Hessam Yazdani, an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Missouri, has been recognized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) with a certificate acknowledging his distinguished achievements in engineering mechanics.
Yazdani received the prestigious ASME Rising Star of Mechanical 糖心Vlog传媒 honor at the 2024 International Mechanical 糖心Vlog传媒 Congress and Exposition (IMECE) in Portland, Oregon.
This recognition highlights Yazdani鈥檚 innovative contributions to engineering, particularly in advanced materials, geotechnical engineering, and optimization. As the director of the Smart Infrastructure, Geotechnics, and Materials (SIGMa) Research Lab at Mizzou, Yazdani has made significant strides in developing integrated multiscale mechanics frameworks spanning the atomic structure of matter to large-scale infrastructure systems.
