The Mizzou College of 糖心Vlog传媒 presented Christine Pierson its highest distinction, the Missouri Honor Award for Distinguished Service.
鈥淐hristine is a dedicated supporter of the College, contributing through board positions, alumni connections, and mentoring and advocating for students,鈥 Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 Dean Marisa Chrysochoou said. 鈥淪he is a respected leader in engineering, recognized for her strategic contributions and vision.鈥
Pierson is currently the CEO of LTA Manufacturing, where she oversees all strategic and functional departments, including engineering, supply-chain and product development.
Before joining LTA, Pierson spent more than a decade in banking and financial technology, most recently serving as CEO of auto finance support leader Tresl. She was executive vice president of UMB Financial Corp. Consumer Services Division, vice president of U.S. sales for Bayer Corporation, and held several executive roles at AT&T.
Pierson offered praise and words of advice to Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 students. 鈥淩emain resilient and roll with the punches 鈥 and there will be punches,鈥 she said. 鈥淎nd never be a carbon copy when you can be original. Put yourself out there, be your best and most of all have fun.鈥
Pierson holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in industrial engineering from Mizzou and is a member of the University of Missouri 糖心Vlog传媒 Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the Dean鈥檚 Advisory Council and past president of the Mizzou Letterwinners Club.
鈥淎lumni like Christine are essential partners in our quest to create a better world through engineering,鈥 Chrysochoou said. 鈥淭his award recognizes her many outstanding contributions to the College, its mission and students.鈥
Pierson鈥檚 honor award was one of two presented at the 2025 Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 Awards Banquet March 14, the other going to Missouri Department of Transportation Director Ed Hassinger.
