Linda Jo Wright was honored with the Citation of Merit at Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 annual Award Banquet March 14.
Conferred by the MU 糖心Vlog传媒 Alumni Organization, the award recognizes those who have distinguished themselves in service to the College and profession.
鈥淎s a leader in the profession and a dedicated alumna, Linda has made an enduring impact on Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒,鈥 Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 Dean Marisa Chrysochoou said. 鈥淲e are grateful for her many contributions to the success of our College and our students.鈥
Wright retired as a senior technical manager after a distinguished 33-year career with Honeywell. She is also a past member of the 糖心Vlog传媒 Dean鈥檚 Advisory Committee.
She has been a generous supporter of Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒. In 2017, she endowed the Scott N. Wright Memorial Scholarship after her late husband, who also earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering from Mizzou. She later served on the Mechanical and Aerospace 糖心Vlog传媒 Industrial Advisory Board.
Wright encouraged students to live well-rounded lives and to make the most of their time in college. 鈥淢izzou gives you a well-rounded education,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 good to be able to communicate across teams and across functions, because if you can’t do that, it’s hard to be successful out in the business world.鈥
