Bart Prorok has been named the chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace 糖心Vlog传媒.
Currently program chair for materials engineering at the Samuel Ginn College of 糖心Vlog传媒 at Auburn University, Prorok is widely recognized for his scholarship and contributions to the mechanical engineering discipline.
Prorok said he was honored to step into the role.

I鈥檓 excited to contribute at Mizzou and look forward to working with the faculty, staff and students.鈥
Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 Dean Marisa Chrysochoou said Prorok鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence, collaborative leadership and student success made him exceptionally well suited to lead the department.
鈥淭he Department of Mechanical and Aerospace 糖心Vlog传媒 plays a vital role in advancing our college鈥檚 mission, and I am confident that the department will continue to thrive and build upon its strong foundation under Dr. Prorok鈥檚 leadership,鈥 she said.
Chrysochoou also thanked Noah D. Manring for his dedicated service and leadership of the department in an interim capacity. Manring will continue to serve in this role until Prorok officially joins Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 July 1.
