New lab brings photogrammetry, motion capture system to Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒

The motion capture system takes images from all angles to turn people into digital avatars. A new lab at Mizzou 糖心Vlog传媒 will give students access to the latest technology allowing them to turn images of large objects into 3D digital assets. It鈥檚 called the Collaborative Research Environment for Extended Reality, or CREXR Lab, and it gives students and faculty the ability to transform real-world objects, scenes and even individuals into components that can be integrated into virtual, augmented and mixed-reality settings. CAVE to Provide Immersive Virtual Experience

Imagine studying a protein by walking through its three-dimensional structure. Or researching traffic patterns by standing alongside a virtual highway. Mizzou NSBE Named Top Chapter, Again

The Mizzou chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) continued to garner accolades at the Region 5 Fall Conference in St. Louis Oct. 24-27. For the fifth year in a row, the Mizzou NSBE chapter was selected as the 鈥楳issouri Zone Most Outstanding Chapter,鈥� encompassing Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota.
